From Joseph Smith to Jesus

Jesus replied, “I assure you: Unless someone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

John 3:3

Gene Barnes, an Okie who’s served on IC projects for many years, thinks back on his favorite memory from the recent Idaho trip. “As always seeing a new baby being born again…” During this Mormon-focused mission project, Gene rejoices over the opportunity to share the Gospel with TJ, a young man whose mother was recently rescued out of the darkness of Mormonism and was born again into the family of God.

When TJ heard the Gospel, the Holy Spirit drew Him to the truth and decided to follow Jesus! “His spiritual birthday is March 19, 2022…” Gene tells us, “I know the angels in heaven rejoiced over TJ’s decision to follow Jesus.”

We are also rejoicing with the angels that TJ’s name is written in the Book of Life!
