In Line for Jesus

During the most recent North America partnership, a team serving in Paluxy, Texas started work one morning at a local warehouse to unload a large truck filled with cases and pallets of food to be distributed by church members of The Lighthouse of Tin Top. Shortly after they started, the heavens opened, and the floods of rain began. The food and products were loaded into a large trailer for the slow trip back to the church. At times, the rain was so heavy they could hardly see the vehicle in front of them. The rest of the day was spent sorting, separating, and filling in preparation for the cars to arrive and receive distributions into the evening.
It was an amazing operation—so well organized and greatly needed in that community. As the cars began to line up to receive their groceries, the team went to each car and prayed with the people inside.
Jeannine, one of the IC team members, led 14 people to Christ that afternoon! There was one young woman who had accepted Christ, and a little while later, was seen in line again. She had gone home, talked to her mother-in-law, and brought her back so she could hear the gospel. She, too, accepted Christ that afternoon! It was moving to see these people bow their heads and ask Jesus to forgive them and save them as they waited in the food distribution line.

"The evangelistic work in North America is often slow; the ground is hard, but the need is great. Please continue to pray for our great country. I am asking God to pour HIS Spirit out on this nation. Time is running out, and there are still so many who do not know HIM. Would you please commit to praying with me for North America?" -Shara
