Having just returned from the country of Türkiye (Turkey) at the beginning of the month, the “God ordained appointments” are still fresh and so worthy of sharing!

Here is a testimony by trip leader, Mark.

"On a Friday afternoon visit in the middle of a workday, we were invited to share with some men as to why we came all the way from Texas to their country. This visit was like so many others. We were welcomed in warmly and served Turkish tea and snacks. This visit was to an office of a professional financial advisor and accountant. As I began to share my testimony and presentation of the gospel, I was impressed to draw a comparison of this man's work, preparing the financial future of himself and his clients which here on earth is good, smart, and needed, compared to preparing for eternity.

I shared that spiritual preparation for our souls and destination of where he would spend eternity is also a wise thing to consider. I told him how he can have assurance that he will spend that eternity with God and Jesus in Heaven instead of being separated from God for all eternity in Hell.

His eyes told me that there was a connection being made.

Listened intently, I shared that what Jesus did on the cross paid for all the sins of the world- His and mine, past, present, and future. Then God raised Jesus from the dead on that Resurrection Sunday morning and He offers us that free gift of salvation. Every sin that was on our account and personal ledger was wiped clean, paid in full, and covered by the blood of Jesus.

When I asked if he would like to receive that free gift, he and two of his office staff all said yes! I led them in a prayer, and they are now brothers in Christ, not only financially secure but most importantly, spiritually secure for all eternity. They understood and were very excited by their new found faith.

The pastor of the church I was working with served as my interpreter and will now disciple these men in his church."
