N2N Story: Meaning After Meeting

Pastor Lev applied to International Commission with the request to organize and lead a National-to-National (N2N) partnership in his area of Russia. He engaged all his friends and involved all his contacts who were ready to join the mission project. The Gospel was shared with people who were known and under the prayer of local believers, in the very heart of Russia. Here is his testimony about a man he met named Roman.
Roman's life is a classic example of the inhabitants in the Russian province of Novgorod. He applied himself poorly in school and was regularly involved with drugs, alcohol, and hooliganism. The police were repeatedly called on him and was sent to juvenile imprisonment for offenders.
After his release, he was sentenced for another crime and a new prison term. He spent years in prison with a broken psyche and defeat in all spheres of life. When he was serving his last term, he signed a contract for the Russian Army to go on the front line to fight with Ukraine. He fought bravely and had awards and incentives from the commanding officers.
Then after a serious injury and hospitalization, Roman was demobilized due to injury and discharged from the Russian Armed Forces. Depression and alcohol sank in and once again his life was flying down until…
Glory to the Lord Jesus Christ, Roman encountered a missionary named Ivan during an IC organized N2N in July, who told him the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Roman finally found Christ and prayed, asking Him to be his Lord and Savior.
Brother Roman talks about the joy he receives in prayer, communicating with Christ. Now, our new Brother in Christ wants to attend worship services at a local church and will undergo a rehabilitation course at a Christian Rehabilitation Center.
According to Roman, his life has found meaning after meeting with the evangelists and doing a prayer for repentance. Brother Roman is also very grateful for meeting me, listens attentively to sermons in the church, and already helps to serve the homeless.
Brother Roman asks us to pray hard for him and for the Lord to give him strength in the fight against sin. He is divorced and has a 4-year-old daughter, who he has brought to church fellowship. He asks us to pray that the Lord would restore the family and that his wife would also accept the Lord.
